Activision Fun Club

Computer Games Ltd. initially imported and distributed Activision games for the Atari VCS in the U.K. They started the CGL Activision Fun Club in 1982. By the summer of 1983, Activision had taken over distribution of the games itself and also the running of the club, now renamed as the Activision Fun Club. As they diversified into other consoles and computer systems, Activision decided to charge a subscription of £5 a year for membership of the club. The last free newsletter was in the Winter of 1984 - I didn't see the point in paying for future newsletters, especially as new games for the Atari VCS were becoming fewer - so this is the last issue that will be found on this page. The thumbnails below link to full size scans of the pages of each newsletter but please be patient, there's 300k to 400k of data to download for each one.

The first scan is the 'Welcome' letter from the CGL Activision Fun Club
